They do have their own “dollar” (known as Bahamian dollar), its interchangeable with US Dollar as its a 1:1 peg meaning value remains the same (B$100 also equates to $100) but they have a bill for $1/2 (50c), so there are 8 denominations & it’s a strong currency with a caveat (it’s closed, it can’t be exchanged outside the country). I know it’s a rich country not too distant from Florida, have you been there before? If so, what is it like?


I think somebody would need to be super out of touch to say that travelling to the Bahamas is super cheap and easy. Not a Trump-level out-of-touchness (he’s waffling on about the extermination of civilisation in Iran, conquering of NATO allies, and is diverting funds from science and healthcare towards making the white house the gold house), but close to it.
