Some 63% of nursing home residents nationwide rely on Medicaid, which is facing steep cuts from President Trump's spending bill.

This is going to be especially interesting once Republicans of retirement age realize that ‘no Medicare’ means them, too.

Guess MAGA can move their elderly family back in. It’s what God would want of course.

Joke’s on us: The elderly are the MAGA. They’ll just expect their millennial children to support them again, by insisting that they move in.

Yep. I see my mom in the same boat. But she voted for Trump. So consequences of actions. Have no room, money or patience for someone to come into my home and sit around watching right-wing propaganda, while living off the charity of others. She’ll have to go to her MAGA sisters for that.

The nursing homes that charge $3,500 a month and run like 1 or 2 staff members 12 hours a night and then call the fire department in if someone needs a lift assist off the floor? Those capitalist cesspools need a massive reorganization.

Ironic because quite a few of those that voted for this would be in nursing homes if they weren’t politicians

We’re gonna need more laws against the homeless soon. About to be a whole lot more to deal with. Can’t tolerate that /s.

There are also 700 hospitals in rural areas that are in danger of closing from the cuts. The funny thing about EMTALA, is that it doesn’t apply to urgent care facilities, which is why they’re popping up everywhere. It’s far more profitable for corporations to be legally allowed to let you die from non-treatment if you’re uninsured.

What a protest that would be. Thousands of the elderly affected wearing nursing gowns and marching like it’s the day of the dead against their representatives.

Humorous as that zombie horde sounds, most of them aren’t capable and will just be put on the street where they will die within 6 months.

6 months is optimistic. I worked in a nursing home for 5 years. They would last 3 months tops. Dementia side would last weeks.
