It might be ok. Maybe.

Went to my primary doctor to get obesity under control and requested a GLP-1 (my extended family, some of whom have not been obese since childhood, have seen good results). He was not cooperative and kept dismissing using one because insurance would deny it (despite being obese since childhood, trying various times over the years to lose, and having multiple obesity related medical issues including a family history of heart disease and close members having heart attacks/strokes). Instead he decided I just needed a short-term boost to my system by prescribing Phentermine without saying much about it other than it promoted weight loss.

From the first day’s half-dose to ease into it 3 weeks ago, I noticed that my head felt clearer, I felt more relaxed, my palpitations and anxiety were manageable now, I was able to engage more in conversations, I was able to start doing basic chores/hobbies I haven’t done in a long time, and I actually got to bed around 11pm-12am instead of 2am+ and with barely any onset of sleep delay (usually takes me an hour or so once I close my eyes). It wasn’t until I and my family noticed these side effects that I looked up and found out that Phentermine is amphetamine-like. Never expected anything like this on a stimulant. I expected, due to the doctor’s warning, higher anxiety and blood pressure issues. Just sad that this is for short-term use only and won’t likely be able to be refilled.
