Not giving a shit what other people think of you. I think this starts, for most people, earlier than their 40’s but it’s still great. I don’t care about impressing anyone except me.
I feel like people my own age care way more about their perception of others than they did when they were younger.
It’s just less about what old band/fashion you are into and more about what car you drive and how big your house is and where you vacation. It’s not about how cool you are now, it’s about how important/successful you are.
I certainly do not meet many folks my own age who don’t give many fucks about this stuff, they are incredibly rare, and younger people seem to care way less about it.
