Drones, especially if AI controlled, aren’t humans, so they can’t commit murder. I’d rather be approached by something with at least a slight fear of repercussions or the ability to feel guilt.
These drones aren’t armed. They can’t kill you if you disobey their conflicting orders or try to grab your wallet while black.
So these drones ARE better first responders than cops.
For now it might be a better option but this is from a private company that needs its profits to grow infinitely. Next step is drones with “non-lethal” weapons and then low-caliber ammunition. Some police already have wheeled drones that fire live ammunition.
