    Pedophiles. Some of us are quite charming and not overtly creepy. It’s the super obvious ones that give us all a bad rap.

          Hold on - this was a joke, wasn’t it? i.e “some of us are (…) not overtly creepy” is a pun because it implies all pedos are creepy to some extent and the ‘good ones’ are the ones who manage to keep their creepiness hidden

            Yes, it was a joke. I picked a group people would have strong feelings about and pretended to be a part of it as a bit of dark humor.

              This was easy to fall for since the advent of overt and “out” online pedophiles. First thing I ever learned about fediverse is that there are instances that the u.s. gov is monitoring for hosting specifically that

            Without tone and facial expression it’s very hard to guarantee that your words are ever read in the spirit they are written.

              Yeah, the “/s” does a lot of heavy lifting eh – especially with polarizing or dark matters. I can see that Amidfuror meant it as joke, albeit poorly delivered as a result.
